Key differences between hemp seed oil and CBD oil

1. What is Hemp Seed Oil 

The cannabis Sativa plant seeds are used to make hemp seed oil, also known as cannabis Sativa seed oil. It is derived from hemp plant seeds. The cannabis family has nutraceutical properties that give therapeutic benefits.

The extraction is done through cold-pressing, like how olives are cold-pressed to generate olive oil. Hempseed is rich in highly absorbable protein (20-25%) and highly unsaturated food oil (ca. 30-35 per cent). The remaining is made up of dietary fibre derived primarily from the hull, oil-soluble vitamins, and essential minerals.

1.3 Things to Consider Before Using Industrial Hemp Seed Oil 

While it is thrilling to use hemp seed oil tincture in our food, we must exercise caution in certain areas. 

  1. Use it to cook, do not cook with it:
    Hemp oil is high in nutrients, yet it has a low boiling point. As a result, hemp oil is ideal for both cold and hot foods. Hemp oil has a smoking point of 332°F, however, it can be heated up to 475°F for not more than 30 minutes.

    The best technique to heat hemp oil to a higher temperature is to blend it with a temperature-stable carrier oil. This improves its heat resistance. Avocado oil, which has a smoke point 50 per cent higher than olive oil, is the best choice.
